Our Family is Growing!
I guess I should start by saying this was a surprise and it wasn't all at the same time. Chad and I had decided to add to our family but we were planning more for a few months from now but apparently God had other plans in mind and we got pregnant a lot quicker than we imagined!
I felt something was off and so I decided to take a test (I got the early kind that can tell up to 5 days before) Saturday Feb 5, 2011 and it came back positive but it was very faint but still there. Chad and I were kind of in disbelief so I took the next test a few hours later and of course it came back positive too! So I am starting to believe it but still not really because I had read about chemical pregnancies and so I still wasn't sure. So we went and got another box of tests so I could take 1 first thing in the morning because that is the best time to take them. So SuperBowl Sunday rolled around and it was time for two more tests! LOL Sure enough I took both tests that day and they came back just like the tests from Saturday positive but very light.
I was off Monday Feb 7th for my Birthday! YES Happy Birthday to me... talk about a great Birthday Present! Brittany and Brayden were comeing to visit and have lunch for my birthday and just because that's what besties do! I was still not really believing that I was pregnant and no one could talk me down. My cycle is so crazy that I am never really sure when I should start even if I track it I can't keep up because it changes all the time. I was still pretty sure this time that I wasn't close enough for these tests to be right. Or maybe I was just crazy and wouldn't listen to anyone. Chad and Britt were telling me I was and that you can't fake 4 tests taken over 2 days. BUT stubborn me went and got another box of tests and took 1 more and of course positive. So I finally called my doctor. They said I had to come in and have them do a test and then they would schedule my 1st visit. Since Brittany was here she said would watch Nisee for me while we went.
After lunch at Mi Pueblo.. Yes be jealous! HAHA We went to Thomasville OB-GYN and they did a test which was also positive (and they don't use the early detection kind). I asked the nurse about the fact that it was light and she said that as long as it was there then that meant I was pregnant and that until I was actually late that it wouldn't show up dark. So as you can see in the picture there is one dark one. I had one test left so on the 9th I decided to take a test to see it get dark. Now I still didn't know when I was supposed to start though so I don't know why I decided to do it but it all turned out for the best because the test was very dark and it actually showed up the positive line before the test line. So maybe that means I was supposed to start on the 9th which would change my due date to a little earlier.
They currently have my EDD as Oct 20th but I will have a c-section earlier. Usually they do the c-section at 39 weeks and if my EDD stays the same then that will be Oct 13th but everything is based off of the EDD of Oct 20th. We are very excited and we are going to share our journey with you here on our blog. When I was pregnant with Nisee we shared via our website but since we don't have that anymore we will use this. My 1st visit is March 4th, 2011 so look for another update around that time!

Week 4
This picture was taken in honor of the Steelers making it to the AFC Championship game earlier today! I wasn't allowed to turn on the computer during the game so I just now got to upload it. The Steelers did win the game and are headed to Super Bowl 45 in Texas. This is their 8th appearance in the Super Bowl and they have won 6 of them so far. We are going back to compete for #7 against the GreenBay Packers. GO STEELERS!!!
This is also the 3rd time the Steelers have gone to a Super Bowl since Chad and I have been together. We started dating in Oct 2004 and They won #5 in 2005 which was the year we got married. They won #6 in 2009 the year we had Nisee. SO If they win this year I guess something big is going to happen for me and Chad ... personally I am hoping for us to win the lottery! LOL'

Week 3
This weeks post is going to deviate from the 52 week project a little as most people know my parents house caught fire this morning. I had planned to take our family picture after church when we were all still dressed up but we never made it to church. Their furnace caught fire and it ran under the house. The fire followed the duct work and broke through the floor and really burned up the underside of the house. The entire house filled with smoke. It went up the walls and you can see where it was coming out at the top of the house. At first glance the house doesn't that bad but when you look closer you can see how bad it really is. Even stuff that doesn't look burned is covered in smoke. All you have to do is pick it up and you can see the black on your hands. The main thing is that my Mom and my Dad and Nisee are alright. Yes, Nisee was spending the night with them last night, of all nights!
Smoke alarms woke my Mom and Dad up before they could even see smoke. My Dad found it at the furnace and he ran to his boat to get the fire extinguishers he had there. He emptied 2 of them right into the fire location, it slowed but didn't stop. My Mom took Nisee to the van and kept her there. They grabbed a few pictures and some clothes but then they went outside to wait on the fire department who arrived very quickly! It was during this time that the smoke really filled the house and my Dad inhaled some smoke. Center, County Line, and Harmony VFW responded and put out the fire. MANY THANKS go to all of those who helped! They credited my Dad's quick thinking of using the fire extinguisher in slowing the fire which bought them enough time to get there and was probably what saved the structure of the house. Later I had to take my Dad to the ER because he was having problems breathing but good news was that after a breathing treatment and some oxygen he was feeling a lot better and they let him go home!
So this week my picture is of some of the damage to their house where the fire started and I am also including another picture but the 1st one is my official post.
Please make sure your smoke alarms are in working order and a fire extinguisher is always a good thing to have around. I thank God that my parents had these because if they didn't this could have been a much worse story!

Week 2
I decided to try out my tripod and we got some great shots shots so here is one of them that we really liked. We are all smiling in the picture which is hard with Nisee so we loved it!!!
This next picture is not really a part of the 52 week project but I took some pics of the family today. We were missing Tara and Heather. I had planned to do this on Christmas but since the weather didn't allow for it we had to do it today and unfortunately Tara had already gone home. We made a ton more pics but this one shows my Dads side of the Family! I love it!!!

Week 1
This picture was taken January 1st, 2010 during the Winter Classic! I was trying to take a picture of me and Chad and our Pens shirts but Nisee wouldn't go to sleep so shes in the picture in her mermaid pj's! I love this picture of our little family even if it wasn't a planned picture. Sometimes those are the best!!!
52 Week Project
So after reading a friends blog recently and heard about her plan to do a 52 week project I decided to do one too! I tried a 365 project last year and made it about 3 months but then stopped. I am hoping that I can do this 52 week project. The 52 week project that this one person did was a picture of herself each week. To make this fit into our Family blog I have decided that my 52 week project will be a Family Photo each week! I have a tripod so we can get creative! I think it will be a fun blog and project! So check back each week to see our weekly family photo! :)

Christmas 2010
This Christmas was great except for a few things. Nisee and I went to see Brittany and Brayden on the 22nd. Normally we all get together but things were just so crazy this year so we decided to do it with out Michael and Chad as they were working. On the 23rd we did Christmas with Matt, Stephanie, and Evans! We went to see the Tanglewood Festival of Lights and to eat Mexican! It was a blast and there were unforgettable experiences!!! Christmas Eve was at my parents house. We exchanged gifts with my parents of course, Tara, Justin, Dusty and Heather. Mostly it was gifts for Nisee and she got great gifts! Christmas Day we did Christmas at our house that morning and then Christmas at Chads Mom's for Lunch. Then we normally head to My Nanny Peg and Papaw Lester's for Dinner but this year we didn't get to go because of the snow. This was particularly hard for me to handle because this was the last Christmas I was going to have with Papaw Lester and the 1st Christmas without Mamaw Evalene. I spent a good part of that evening crying my eyes out and being mad at the snow. We made the decision not to drive for Nisee's saftey (and ours). We would never forgive ourselves if something happened to her and Nanny and Papaw completely agreed and understood! Once I talked to Papaw it made me feel better about not being there. My brother had already at 4:30pm wrecked his Jeep. Luckily he just got suck up really good when he slid off the road in a curve and both him and his jeep were fine.
The day after Christmas we woke up to a blanket of white (we had gone to bed to one too). We got about 6 inches of snow and while the roads while the snow was falling were not good they seemed to get much better by lunch time that day. Last year we had a huge snow and the end of our driveway is shaded so there was about 4 feet of ice and snow at the end of it and it made it horrible to get out of the driveway. I ended up in our ditch 2 times and it was all we could do to get me out of it! So I pledged that this winter I was going to make sure I cleaned off the driveway so we didn't have that happen again. So about 10 am I started clearing the drive way and I cleared the entire thing! AND it was so worth it! By the late afternoon our entire drive way was almost dry! Around lunch time we headed to Nanny Peg and Papaw's to spend a few hours and do the Christmas that we missed from the day before! It was great !!!
I love working with chocolate now! Chad's sister Carrie and her husband Roger love chocolate dipped Oreos and so I decided that since we weren't exchanging gifts this year (we are all broke) that I would make them some and well I kind of went over board and made enough for the entire family! I took a few pictures. Towards the end my green got a little hot so it looks a little funny. MY TIP for making dipped Oreos is to use only the name brand! They taste so much better than the generic!
Below are some pictures from our Christmas! Enjoy!
